Solemn celebrations in honour of Saint Francis

The Franciscans of Saint Joseph Province of Eastern Canada are organizing, in their respective communities, celebrations on October 3 and 4 to commemorate the death of Saint Francis (who died on October 3, 1226, in Assisi) and his passage from earth to the house of the eternal Father (also called Transitus, a Latin term meaning “passage”).

LACHUTE
Tuesday, October 4, at 7 p.m.
A Eucharist and solemn vespers will be held at the church of the Franciscans of Lachute. A reception, with coffee and cookies, will take place after mass.
