From the Easter letter written by our Minister General, Brother Massimo Fusarelli, OFM:
“Our fragilities, the crises in our communities and the contradictions of our time are not obstacles to Easter; they are the place where it is fulfilled. Francis makes us touch with our hands that every death can become a “sister” if lived with the heart and hands of Christ, Servant, and Lord.
In this centenary year, as we remember the paschal death of Saint Francis, we implore the grace to live our daily Easter with freedom and abandonment. We ask to know how to recognise, in the signs of the times that frighten us, the labour pains of a new world being born. We pray to be able finally to hand over our life to the Father and to the men He loves and desires to be happy.
May the crucified and risen Lord, whom Francis loved and followed, enlighten us and, in the Spirit, transform our fears into trust, our wounds into openings of light.
Happy and Holy Easter to all with my fraternal embrace!”
