Obituary: Friar Réal Bélanger, OFM

It is with great sorrow that we inform you that Brother Réal Bélanger, OFM, passed away on April 16th 2019, at the Carrefour Providence in Montreal, at the age of 88 years, after 60 years of religious life.

 

Born in St-Antonin, Quebec (Diocese of Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatière), he served in the Franciscan friaries in Sherbrooke and Quebec City, but mainly in the Franciscan friary in Trois-Rivières from1966 to 2013. He worked and lived there with many responsibilities including being general house keeper, heating attendant, carpenter, etc.

 

The funeral service be held in the Chapel of the Mother House of the Providence Sisters (5655, Salaberry street), in Montreal, on Monday, April 29th 2019.
